St. Patrick's Fun...

I was trying pretty hard to get this up before St. Patrick's Day, but it just did not happen...neither did my St. Patrick's Day Banner, but there is ALWAYS next year :)

So, I don't have some cute mantle to decorate, or a cute shelf...I have this OLD trunk. I try to make it cute, and I am slowly collecting fun stuff to decorate with.

The Awesome Subway Art came from My Computer is My Canvas.

The super cute "Luck O' the Irish" blocks came from Amy. She makes these super CUTE figurines to sit on the blocks, BUT I have a 5 year old (Emilee) that has a major thing with little dolls of any sort. So, I opted against the cuteness because I knew that she would be gone with them.

This is Shaelee's. Emilee did
not want to finish hers. She
would rather be riding her bike.
The little rainbows were a craft that we did at our Girl Scout meeting last week. I seen the original post on Pinterest (click HERE), but I had to try to make it a little cuter.
This one is mine.

These past few weeks have been full of A LOT of events with this being the 100th year of Girl Scouts. Lots and lots of celebrating to do. So, our troop had a celebration of our own. We had a birthday party to celebrate Girl Scouts and our own Daisies. It was a rainbow themed party so this was the "Rainbow Craft" that the girls made and it kinda tied in St. Patrick's Day aswell.

I got the precut floral foam from the dollar store. There were 4 pieces for a dollar and I also got the cotton balls there too. The pipe cleaners and beads came from from a local craft store. From the pictures, you can see it was very simple :)
The Cute Subway Art came from HERE...(and it is FREE)!
With my husband being out of town on business I decided not to do the traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage. The kids are not huge fans, BUT I am! So, for our St. Patrick's Day dinner we had Green Pancakes, Green Eggs, Kiwi, Garlic Roasted Breakfast Potatoes, and OJ. Dessert was Strawberry Shortcake with Homemade Angle Food Cake (this recipe is the BEST), with green Cream, and Leprechaun Floats.

Then we finished out our night playing a few games of St. Patrick's Day Bingo and a Skype session with Daddy :) Perfect way to end the day.

Valentine Fun For Girl Scouts

Our troop had a Valentine's Party on February 16th...(better late than never). The week before I had handed out these folders and inside was goodies to decorate the folders with. Then they had to bring them back for the party and that is what they collected their Valentine's in. It was cute, simple, and pretty inexpensive. Having a troop of 18 girls - simple, and inexpensive are always GREAT!!

This is my Shaelee working on her folder at home :)

This is my Emilee working on her folder at home :)
So, on the 16th we had our meeting. The girls started with decorating a sugar cookie, and we concluded our meeting/party with each girl handing our Valentine's to thier Daisy Girl Scout Sisters. It was a lot of fun :)

Each girl who attended the meeting earned a Valentine's Day 2012 fun patch.

Girl Scout Mail Box

Here is our fun Girl Scout Mail Box. It is working out wonderful. We have a VERY large Daisy troop and so this is a GREAT way for me to keep organized and less confusion with the oodles and oodles of papper work that seems to come my way. This is also a great way for the parents to be able to get everything that they need from me for either themselves or thier daughter(s).

Each girl has thier own folder as do all of the leaders. It is working GREAT and I think the girls enjoy checking thier mail at the end of the meetings. This is also used to store patches and books in. I love it!!

So, I have not gotten nearly as much stuff posted on here as I would like to have up. Something about having 7 children, dance classes to shuttle the girls too, sports and scouts to shuttle the boy too and the craziness of becoming a new Girl Scout leader! Yep, this is MY Crazy life, but I love it!

Since the Holidays are over (thank gooness), and all the decorations are put a way...how cute would it be to have this SUPER cute Subway art displayed for the winter?? I Just got my free bundle from Collette at My Computer is My Canvas. Pay a visit to her blog... You won't be sorry. The bundle include subway art images for January, Snowman Soup Tags, Bookmarks and some fun accent papers. A F.H.E full of Ghosts :) :) :)...

I know we are kinda out of the season for ghosts BUT, never to early to start on next year :) I found this really cute ghost F.H.E. and had to do it. It was posted on SugarDoodle, Three Naughty Ghosts. Here is how I did it...

Way Cute and Way Fun!! Having so many little ones, I feel as if the kiddos get nothing out of it...BUT, this one they really got into. Daddy told the story because he gets WAY animated and they all loved it! After the story was over they were asking to hear it again...so we did it one more time! The next Monday they are were asking for it again...but it was Halloween!!

The Creation, The Fall, The Atonement...

October Family Scripture Study...The Creation, The Fall, The Atonement.

Last month, September, we finally got our 45' semi trailer unpacked. There was stuff in there that we had not seen for a good 18 months +...so we were all like little kids at Christmas time. One box I was so eagert o get out was our box of church books. I never thought this semi trailer would be packed for soooo long! So, I found this book that we had bought before we left Henderson. It is an entire year of family scripture made fun for the entire family! Now...this is something that we really need...something fun! My kids get so bored...as do most younger kids do. So... I got this book out an immediatly flipped to September. Well, August and September was combined so went on to October. Within a couble of days I had this all put together :) We have really enjoyed it.

So, There are 31 leaves, one for each day for the month of October.

Each leaf has a scripture on it pertaining to The Creation, The Fall, and The Atonement.

After each scripture is read then we determine which pile that scripture goes in and stick it on there :)
I cut the tree out on my Cricut using the "Stretch Your Imagination" Cartridge. The leaves I just printed out of the book and cut them all out. I always laminate everything! If I spend more than 10  minutes working on something, then it needs to be laminated to use again and again.

We alternate these with our BOM stories, only because each child (the older ones), each like to choose their own leaves :) It has been fun :)

One the backside of this poster I have the Turkey that is ready for November :)

Halloween Fun...

So, last year around this time I discovered this AWESOME gal and her blog - My Computer is My Canvas. She does such cute, fun and creative digital work! I have purchased many digital files from her and I plan to keep going back.

For Halloween I printed up her CUTE TRICK-OR-TREAT Banner. It turned out quite cute, if I must say so :) Adds just the right amount of Halloween Cuteness to our home.

My cute little Googly-Eyed Spiders are just made from black pipe cleaners...cute, inexpensive and easy :) The little felt hanging things my Mother-In-Law made for my kiddos a few years ago. We are not up to date with those...we have added 3 more children since those hangings :) Oh....and my Boooooooo! tile - this is one of my favorite things! Yep...once upon a time I use to sell UpperCase Living and that was one of my FrEeBiEs (gotta love them freebies)!

Also from the awesome gal at My Computer is My Canvas, I had to have her "Countdown to Fright Night" advent calendar. These are fun and my kids are enjoying them (candy makes everything better...according to them)!

I printed one for each kiddo, (except for the twins, they will get thiers next year!) backed them all with different colored cardstock. I did it that way so it was easier for the younger ones, who can't read yet, to distingish which one is theirs. I also laminated them to make them last :) I used some Halloween Taffy that I found at Walmart...And Poof...Cute, Fun and Simple!

Time to quit making fun Halloween Stuff...time to get busy making some costumes!!
